Hello Microdot,
Live at the Fillmore is one of my favorite albums of all time. Great music like Mud Shark, Buanna Dick, My New Car, and of course when they perform with Flo and Eddie from the Turtles (the two rock groupies they are trying to make it with), “SO HAPPY TOGETHER” just brings down the house.

and, you are sooo lucky I did not choose to post Yoko's solo volcal performance with the Mothers...

Happy Together, what a joyous suprise to hear the note perfect rendition on the Live at The Fillmore East Album!
Of course it helps when the Lead singers of the band are the writers and singerts of the original!

There are some other great Mothers covers out there, An Incredible version of Whippin Post by the Allmans....I actually saw the performance that is on YouTube from Pier 87 in NYC from the late 80's and then there is the notorious notre perfect cover of I AM THE WALRUS...
These I think were pwer mad acts by Mr. Zappa because he had assembled thesae perfect bands and could prove that he could do what ever he felt like with them, for your and his amusement!

4 more days of Zappadan! Celebrate them with abandon!
