Richard Pryor 1964

Here's Richard Pryor on A Kraft Music Hall special in 1964. How old could he have been at the time? An early look at one of the most influential comedians of our time. I'm trying to find a good skit from his 4 episode Richard Pryor Show on ABC from 1977. The cast included a young Robin Williams and Sandra Bernhard. There is a piece on YouTube called The First Black President which I would have liked to post, but the embedding is disabled...
What incredible energy...

Interesting that he called his father a 'Negro.' Of course, that was 45 years ago. How time flies!

And it was only 3 years later that Pryor would take a giant step and release a record called, That Nigger Is Crazy....
He was a brilliant artist, not only in his acutely absurd ability to depict people, but in his use of language to offend and challenge and amuse all at the same time.
Of course if anyopne else had used the word, Nigger...it would have been utter outrage, and of course, Pryor was considered utterly outrageous, but yet, the recording was brilliant enough to merit a Grammy....
